成都，“天府之国”，是四川省省会，位于川西平原腹地，自然条件得天独厚，气候宜人，是中国历史文化名城之一，也是西南地区最大的现代化城市。相传战国时期蜀王即迁都于此，取“一年成市，二年成邑，三年成都”之意而定名，迄今已有两千多年的历史。汉代此地织锦业非常发达，五代时后蜀王孟昶命人遍植芙蓉，花开时节，满城生辉，因而又有“锦城”和“蓉城”的美称。
